There are two brothers the Finlay's Tea Estate, Sylhet, Bangladesh. They have invented a new way to make a brew of Five Layer Color that is for the entertainment of tourists who are exulted when take this tea. These two brothers have never told any one their secret. It is served in a glass and the brew is genuinely five different in five layers. All layered perfectly on top of each other, with no mixing, steaming away with a smell. Each color has a different flavor, so the first hit is cinnamon, then sort of creamy milky, then ginger, then lemon, then honey. No layer mixes. If you took a big a sip, the flavors mixed together to create another brilliant sensation in your mouth. One can realize its full glory of presentation and flavor.

DESTINATION: Bangladesh Tea Board - Tea Resort
ACCOMODATION: Bungalows & Single/Double Bed
DATE OF VISIT: DECEMBER 2007
This place was developed by British Government and now belong to Bangladesh Tea Board. It is is known locally as the DFID tea resort or Bangladesh Tea Board Tea Resort. Since the British Government sold it a few years ago, it has gone down hill a bit, but the standard is still acceptable. The bungalows are well worn and the carpets are pretty faded but clean and surrounded by mosquito nets. All bungalow have dinning room, drawing room, balcony and kitchen. They also provide refrigerator & freeze, air condition in every room, Television, Fire place, Study place, and self car parking for each bungalow.
The swimming pool & Tennis court is clean and well maintained. The dinning hall is clean and well maintained too. Individual rooms and VIP suited are nice & clean and they are just beside the pool. Each bungalows are approximately less than 100m away from each other and have lots of space, garden and walk way around them. This is a world peace place and wonder place to visit in Bangladesh.
The foods are good but price way too high. They have a good range of western, Bengali and even vegetarian dishes. The foods are only served in their dinning hall and not allowed to take away in bungalow.

It is a large area and you can walk for hours inside it. You can enjoy the view of small mountains and tea gardens all around too. You can ask them to arrange born fire at night at a small amount of charge. We had lots of fun out there and did bonfire every day night with music & chilled beer. It is a great place for peace.

Srimangal, a small town known as the tea capital of the country and set in gently rolling hills, surrounded by lush tea estates and fruit gardens are oasis of tranquility. A short stay at a tea estate would be a highlight of any visit to Bangladesh. The terraced tea garden, pineapple, rubber and lemon plantations of Srimangal form a beautiful landscape. Lawacharra Rain forest, only eight kilometers from Srimangal town, is an important and well-preserved rain forest in Bangladesh. Here visitors may see gibbons swinging through the trees. Interesting primates like Capped langur, Pig-tailed, Assamese, Rhesus macaques and slow Loris can be found on different tiers of the forest canopy. It should not be missed especially by bird, mammal and insect watchers.
The good percentage of ethnic people has increased the attraction of this place. Tripura, Garo, Khasia and Monipuri are important among them. Monipuris are famous for their rich colorful cultural practice and traditional weaving. Khasias are famous for their betel leaf cultivation. The spectacular Madhobpur Lake surrounded by lush tea estates and full of water lilies is unique. A lot of pineapple and lemon plantations in Pineapple and Lemon Valley is another important feature in Srimangal. The good percentage of ethenic people has increased the attraction of this place.
